1. Information We Collect
None. Simple Angelus does not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal information whatsoever. We have no servers, no databases, and no way to access any data from your device.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
Simple Angelus stores the following data locally on your device to provide app functionality. This data never leaves your device:
- Prayer preferences: Your preferred prayer times, notification settings, language, theme, and font size.
- Prayer progress: Records of which prayers you have completed, dates, and duration — a private record of your fidelity to the devotion.
- App settings: Display preferences and notification configuration.
All of this data is stored in a local SQLite database on your device. You can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app data in your device settings.
3. Analytics and Tracking
Simple Angelus contains no analytics SDKs, no tracking pixels, no advertising identifiers, and no telemetry of any kind. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or any similar service.
We do not track how you use the app, when you open it, which features you use, or any other behavioral data.
4. Third-Party Services
Simple Angelus does not integrate with any third-party services. There are no:
- Social media integrations
- Advertising networks
- Analytics providers
- Cloud storage services
- Authentication providers
- Crash reporting services
5. Network Access
Simple Angelus does not require an internet connection to function. The app works entirely offline. No network requests are made by the app at any time.
6. Permissions
Simple Angelus requests only the minimum permissions necessary for core functionality:
- Notifications: To remind you at the canonical hours. You can deny or revoke this permission at any time.
- Microphone (optional): Only used for the optional guided prayer with speech recognition feature. No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted. All processing happens on-device.
7. Children's Privacy
Since Simple Angelus collects no data from anyone, there is no age restriction for using the app. The faithful of all ages are welcome.
8. Data Retention
Since we collect no data, there is nothing to retain. Your local prayer data persists on your device until you uninstall the app or clear its data.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we ever update this privacy policy, we will post the changes on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Our commitment to collecting no data is unlikely to change — your prayer life is between you and God.
